Meet and Greet

Thursday, February 9th, PayforArt hosted a casual meet and greet with the minds and helpful hands behind the creation of the new art buying platform. It was held downtown, at The Artworks.

A multitude of different artists from the area were in attendance to meet with the PayforArt staff and to learn more about the platform.  Andrew Gray, creator of PayforArt, was hosting brief presentations for artists to learn about signing up and how to use the platform for their benefit.  The presentation provided information about how to manage your account as an artist and how to upload  pieces to the website. It also went into detail of how artists will receive payment for their sales using the platform.

In between presentations, light refreshments and hor d’oeuvres were available for guests to enjoy amongst conversation. PayforArt staff and artists mingled and admired the art that surrounded them. As the event progressed PayforArt staff was able to help artists who attended sign up to use PayforArt.com and provide them with more information.  A member of the PayforArt staff, Claire Ashworth commented that, “it was nice to catch up with new artists and form relationships with them”. Artists who had previously been featured at the  Bourgie Nights events were also in attendance.

Overall, the event was very informative. Betsy Knowles, the owner of The Artworks, was a welcoming host and was a huge help in making the meet and greet successful.
